Exclusive - New for February 2021.
    ******
    Up for bid are
    x10 HO scale sized clear
    **MINI**
headlight & class light lens glazing
parts, a smaller-than-usual lens made for replacement of headlights in the internal dual-sealed beam
Athearn GENESIS & Highliners F-unit headlights,
    as well as for
    Class Lights
in Cannon & Co nose kits and on other brands such as Atlas, Proto 2000, Intermountain etc.
They can also be used to
light certain headlight and class light parts, such as the
Detail Associates 1012 dual sealed beam plate
(seen applied in an Intermountain F-unit in the photos above. Lenses can also be used on models with solid class lights (such as Athearn Blue-Box units) by drilling them out.
Made from special clear tubing, they are each rounded and buffed at the front, and tapered at the rear to fit in smaller lens openings, such as Cannon & Co class lights, and Athearn Genesis F-unit headlight holes (that are smaller than normal headlights, and left empty if you remove the stock miniature bulbs to convert them to LEDs or otherwise). Class lights on F-units, GP/SD and other locomotive ends are another application for these small lenses if one wants lit class lights (a coloured bulb or LED can be used behind them for different colours). Note that these lenses are smaller than the normal-sized replacement Genesis headlights lenses I make for normal locomotive headlights (see my other listings).
They are intended to be inserted from the outside, with the larger rounded end facing outwards. You may need to remove the large round clear headlight glass from the end of the F-unit light housing. Be sure to remove existing Athearn incandescent bulbs from the holes, and clean out any leftover glue residue from holes (with a small drill bit, x-acto knife, etc) as it may be a tight fit. A small dab of white glue inside the headlight opening is advised to keep the lens in. Then, insert headlight, let dry and presto! For class lights, it's a similar process: drill out the class light hole, test fit lens to be sure of it, insert a bit of white glue in the opening, insert lens and presto!
For models with solid class lights (like Athearn Blue Box models), the solid class lights can be carefully drilled out with a #60 or similar drill bit and the clear lenses installed (it's always a good idea to poke a starter hole with a small pin to minimize drill bit wandering, or start with a smaller drill bit). You may need to taper the class light housing slightly with a larger drill bit for a more recessed fit of the lens
. As always, proceed with caution as it's easy to make an unintended mistake!
Included are 10 clear headlight lenses. Most F-units with the dual sealed beam inserts require 2 lenses, and 2 for the class lights. GP/SD and other locomotives may have multiple front and back clear class lights (note that these lenses are intended to replace the F-unit headlight lenses, and various class light lenses. For regular-sized headlight lenses, see my other listings.
    Note
that due to headlight opening sizes differing from model to model and brand to brand, and the amount of leftover glue or paint in the openings, they are not guaranteed to fit all models, but slightly enlarging the hole with a #60 or 1.0mm drill bit, or carfully twirling an x-acto knife blade in the headlight opening may assist with opening up any tight headlight openings and cleaning out some of the leftover glue inside. Or if too loose a fit, adding extra white glue in the hole may assist keeping the lens in place.
Note: Due to manufacturing differences, lenses may slightly differ in size, fit and appearance from one to another, but we strive for consistency in making them.
Also Note: this sale is only for the replacement mini headlight/class light lenses. It is left up to the final user to decide how he/she wants to light the model, or find any extra extra parts like dual seamed beam inserts required.

    -----Shipping Etc Notes:-----
Ships to Canada and continental US:
    S
hipping rates shown in listing reflect the costs of postage, mailers, protective padding material, and the time it takes to securely package and mail shipments. Smaller items are shipped in special mailers, larger ones are wrapped securely and sent in padded bubble mailers. Unfortunately, Canada Post + USPS cross-border shipping costs are higher than we'd like, but one can save on shipping with
combined shipping available on multiple purchases
    -
additional items only incur a few extra cents to help pay for extra packing, so the more you order at once, the more it cuts down on repeat shipping charges over time.
    ***
May ship to other places on a case-by-case basis, upon request and review
    ***
    Slow Shipping Sometimes:
Lately Canada Post, USPS and/or customs seem to be taking longer than usual with some shipments to the US and Canada. Usually things arrive in 2 weeks' time at most US addresses from Ontario (Canada) where purchases are mailed from, but sometimes things can take an additional week or so to arrive depending on postal volume, customs, or if a package is going to the west coast or southern states (longer travel times). For most Canadian addresses, things tend to show up in 1-2 weeks, although it's often on the longer side for west coast purchases. I try to ship out all packages on the same day or the day after when possible, or for the coming Monday if it's a weekend or late Friday purchase. If a package doesn't show up at the end of three weeks, let me know - chances are it might be running late.
*Note, Please contact me first and avoid opening an Item Not Arrived case, as eBay has recently changed its policies to be unfavorable to sellers in disputes.
    Ebay Charging State Taxes:
Recently eBay has started charging an internet tax on purchases made by users in some states. Unfortunately, sellers have no say in this and their hands are tied: eBay charges and collects/remits the money to the states themselves, independent of the sellers. Sellers don't receive any of the taxes charged by eBay in their own accounts (the money goes straight to eBay themselves when it's paid), and sellers cannot adjust those amounts charged.
(Payment by Paypal, buyer must make payment within 3 days, examine all photos thoroughly, no refunds unless not as described in listing, item damaged, etc).
If you see something you need more of, need something in particular like a custom lighting setup, or if you're having trouble checking out with
    combining shipping
(use the *request total* feature, but sometimes eBay won't let you and just asks for payment) feel free to send me a message.
    Custom-tailored work (bigger/smaller, longer/shorter lenses) may be possible on a case-by-case basis.
